Hydrovac & Excavation

Non-destructive digging and bulk earthworks around live utilities.

Overview

Hydrovac excavation uses pressurized water and vacuum recovery to expose buried infrastructure without contacting it. It is the safest method for daylighting unknown crossings, verifying depth before a bore, and digging in congested right-of-way where a bucket cannot be used.

We pair hydrovac with conventional excavation so one crew can handle the whole dig: expose the utility, complete the bulk excavation, shore where required, then backfill and compact to spec with clean spoils tracking.

What’s included

  • Daylighting and utility locating verification
  • Slot trenching for pole, pile and sign installs
  • Bulk and precision excavation around live services
  • Debris tank offload to approved disposal sites
  • Frozen ground work with heated water systems
  • Backfill, compaction and surface restoration

Where we use it

  • Utility crossing verification before HDD or trenching
  • Pile and pole hole excavation
  • Municipal valve, hydrant and service repairs
  • Tank, culvert and structure exposure
  • Emergency line strikes and utility repairs
  • Cold-weather winter digs

Need utilities exposed or a safe dig around live services?

Send us the location, depth and access constraints — we'll schedule a hydrovac crew and quote the daylighting or excavation scope.
